The 12 worst ideas religion has unleashed on the world

I’ve previously highlighted some of humanity’s best moral and spiritual concepts, our shared moral core. Here, by way of contrast, are some of the worst. These twelve dubious concepts promote conflict, cruelty, suffering and death rather than love and peace. To paraphrase Christopher Hitchens, they belong in the dustbin of history just as soon as we can get them there.

Chosen People –The term “Chosen People” typically refers to the Hebrew Bible and the ugly idea that God has given certain tribes a Promised Land (even though it is already occupied by other people). But in reality many sects endorse some version of this concept. The New Testament identifies Christians as the chosen ones. Calvinists talk about “God’s elect,” believing that they themselves are the special few who were chosen before the beginning of time. Jehovah’s witnesses believe that 144,000 souls will get a special place in the afterlife. In many cultures certain privileged and powerful bloodlines were thought to be descended directly from gods (in contrast to everyone else).

Religious sects are inherently tribal and divisive because they compete by making mutually exclusive truth claims and by promising blessings or afterlife rewards that no competing sect can offer. “Gang symbols” like special haircuts, attire, hand signals and jargon differentiate insiders from outsiders and subtly (or not so subtly) convey to both that insiders are inherently superior.

FK – It’s a commie site, two commie sites to be exact so I can’t agree with all of this but much of it does make sense. Blind faith is what got us into this mess and it won’t get us out.

The characteristic human trait is not awareness but conformity, and the characteristic result is religious warfare. Other animals fight for territory or food; but, uniquely in the animal kingdom, human beings fight for their ‘beliefs.’ The reason is that beliefs guide behavior, which has evolutionary importance among human beings. But at a time when our behavior may well lead us to extinction, I see no reason to assume we have any awareness at all. We are stubborn, self-destructive conformists. Any other view of our species is just a self-congratulatory delusion. – Michael Crichton

GOA Alert: ATF Seeks to Suppress AR-15’s by Banning Common AR-15 Ammo

ACTION: Urge your Senators to “defund” the ban on AR-15 ammunition, and urge them to put a “hold” on the nomination of Attorney General Nominee Loretta Lynch until the ATF backs down from its unlawful gun ban.

Obama/Holder Exact Revenge on Gun Owners

In the winter of 2012-13, Barack Obama went to war against the AR-15.  Every liberal establishment ally in the country was mobilized to ban the rifle and destroy what they dismissively called “the gun manufacturers’ lobby.”

In the end, fewer than 40 senators (in a Democrat-controlled Senate) voted to ban semi-automatics.

So what do you do when even a Democrat-controlled Senate will not support your lunatic agenda?  What do you do when your agenda runs contrary to the law and the Constitution?

You just ignore your opposition and go on the offensive, which is exactly what the Obama Administration did within the past week.

FK – The real question is why hasn’t there been a real push to repeal GCA ’68, the NFA, ‘all’ the gun laws and shut down the BATF Nazis, try  them for treason and give their retirement funds to their victims?

At least the NRA is paying attention to this one:

Proposed Ammo Ban is Illegal Attack on Americans’ Rights

FK – There’s no ‘sporting purpose’ to the Second Amendment unless like me you’re looking forward to “Liberal”(commie) trash season. It’s about hunting and killing the trash that tells you “You don’t ‘need’ that.”

The RINOs’ failure to shut down the BATF Nazis, try them for treason and execute them and distribute their retirement funds amongst their victims is partly the reason for this evil. The other part is the cowardice of ‘conservatives’ and ‘pro-gunners’ and ‘pro-gun’ groups such as the ‘No Rights that aren’t Allowed’ group who should’ve put together a national militia force to do what will be required to fix this mess if it can be fixed. We need a granite gallows in front of every govt. building in this country and a militia force in every county to make sure they don’t fall into disuse.

FBI does not want citizens to know about ‘stingray’ phone trackers

The FBI has reportedly told various police departments throughout the U.S. to keep their use of “stingray” cellphone trackers quiet and to not inform the public of their use.

A “stingray” is a cellphone signal interception device which, according to the Daily Caller, may appear to citizens as regular cellphone towers. These trackers trick cellphones and similar devices into connecting with the tracker and once connected, whoever controls the “stingray” can access the device’s call records, texts, location, and other metadata.

Originally, the trackers were developed by the Harris Corporation for use in anti-terrorism operations throughout the U.S. in conjunction with the FBI. However, these trackers have been reportedly used in routine police work in recent years, often without a warrant. The Harris Corporation and FBI have remained silent about the full extent of the technology’s capabilities.

In order to keep the technology’s capabilities quiet, the U.S. marshals have been sent to seize physical documentation from a Florida police station which reportedly detailed the use of the trackers by the police department.

FK – Funny how they don’t get the concept that they work for us…

Cities repealing overreaching gun laws across Pennsylvania

Doylestown, Bethlehem, Allentown and Liberty, includes the list of dozens of cities across the Keystone State that are in the process of scrapping illegal laws to comply with an National Rifle Association-backed preemption measure.

The municipalities are scrambling due to Act 192, signed into law last year by Gov. Tom Corbett (R). As outlined in the language of the law, member groups such as the NRA can stand in for local citizens in challenging ordinances in court that exceed the state’s own gun laws.

The gun rights group at the time called the bill “the strongest firearms preemption statute in the country” and a “much-needed protection for gun owners in the Keystone State.”

In the scant weeks since its enactment, towns from one side of the state to the other have dusted off their laws and evaluated them for compliance.

FK – Every state needs pre-emption on gun laws and a militia force in every county to conduct an extensive and thorough “Liberal”(commie) trash season because our domestic blood enemies are never satisfied with a small slice of our cake, our our Liberty:

Bloomberg Suggests Banning Young Minority Males from Gun Ownership

FK – The evil gun laws, that should ‘all’ be repealed, already ban youth from carrying handguns. If a 16-year-old has the responsibility to drive a 2000 lb vehicle down the highway that same young adult has the right to defend herself.

Trading Away Their Oaths

We are not conjuring up mere theoretical threats here. Previously enacted “trade agreements” have already delivered rulings by NAFTA and World Trade Organization (WTO) tribunals that have overruled U.S. laws and U.S. federal and state court rulings. Georgetown University law professor John D. Echeverria has characterized this development as “the biggest threat to United States judicial independence that no one has heard of and even fewer people understand,” while Hofstra University law professor Peter Spiro says it “points to a fundamental reorientation of our constitutional system.”

This writer would go further and posit that it points, manifestly, to the abolition of our constitutional system. Leaked documents of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the latest agreements that may soon come before Congress, reveal, for example, they would exempt foreign corporations from our laws and regulations, placing the resolution of any disputes over these matters in the hands of an international tribunal. In addition to the threat to our constitutional system, this represents a deadly blow aimed at the vast majority of domestic business enterprises that do not engage in foreign commerce. They would be left at a distinct disadvantage, remaining shackled with oppressive regulations and taxes that their foreign competitors could evade.

But the dangers we have outlined above do not emanate only — or principally — from the TPP and TTIP documents themselves. Even more alarming than the various threats that have been exposed thus far in these agreements is the fact that many of the congressional leaders who are shepherding the TPP and TTIP through Congress are members of an organization that is committed to merging the United States — politically and economically — with the European Union (see the complete list of congressmen at the end of this article), as well as with a similar arrangement in the Asia-Pacific region. We are referring to the Transatlantic Policy Network (TPN), which has been the behind-the-scenes driver of the transatlantic union effort for more than two decades, and which makes its intent very clear in its own writings, as we shall show. Should this goal of transatlantic union be fully realized, it would effectively mean the abolition of the United States as a free and independent nation.

FK – Why don’t we already have a granite gallows in front of the capitol building for this trash?

US Congressional Group Members

FK – The panel discussion mentioned in the article:

Western states emerging as Second Amendment battlegrounds

On Saturday, as reported earlier by this column, critics of the recently-enacted ban on open carry in the Washington House and Senate galleries and during committee hearings in nearby legislative office buildings, will gather in Olympia to challenge the ban. Some will reportedly tempt arrest. There are mixed feelings in the firearms community about the effectiveness of such a move.

Some believe that all of this is building toward some sort of reckoning between gun owners and those who want to abolish the right to keep and bear arms, regardless what they say about supporting the Second Amendment. Ultimately, they may not oppose that right, just as long as nobody actually exercises it.

The West has become a battleground for Second Amendment rights. It’s not so much an urban versus rural phenomenon as it is a battle of values that was inevitable. It’s what the late Charlton Heston called a culture war. It’s not coming to a neighborhood near you. It’s already there. This year in state capitols all over the western landscape, citizens and politicians need to decide quickly which side they are on.

FK – A ‘dangerous criminal’ is presumably but not always someone who has been convicted of a violent crime and is in prison. If we have a ‘dangerous criminal’ in prison that cannot be trusted with weapons why are we letting him out? Why has the ‘pro gun’ community ignored this obvious question for so long?

We need to end the ‘drug war’ and free the prisons up for those who actually belong there. When felons are ‘trusted’ to return to society they need to get all their rights back. No person should be deprived of their right to self defense. If they’ve ‘paid their debt to society’ society has no business treating them like second class citizens.

But then we need to repeal GCA ’68 and the NFA and all the other evil ‘gun laws’ anyway don’t we?

The ‘crime’ issue is a red herring. Even if ‘gun control’ could be proven to lower crime it would still be evil.

All ‘gun control’ is propaganda designed to condition the sheeple to more ‘control’ until full civilian disarmament is achieved. Thus all gun control is an act of war. All who forward it should be arrested, tried for treason against Human Liberty and executed.

JPFO had the right idea years ago: Destroy gun control.

Dobyns prepares ‘21 questions’ for indifferent-to-date legislators

Determined not to let a thus-far deliberately indifferent Congress ignore the wider implications of “fraud upon the court” by Department of Justice lawyers in his case, retired ATF Agent Jay Dobyns has prepared a list of 21 questions lawmakers should ask of Attorney General Eric Holder and ATF Director B. Todd Jones. He posted the queries, along with links to media accounts, on his website Friday, and mirrored it to elicit support from forum members on CleanUpATF, the site that first posted allegations of “walked” guns from Operation Fast and Furious being found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

“Congress doesn’t need to hold hearings on this,” Dobyns maintains. “They simply need to draft a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and ATF Director B. Todd Jones demanding truthful and complete answers. This is all it will take. If the AG and Holder will answer honestly, this will be soon be resolved for good.”

He’s making big assumptions, particularly that the Holder DOJ will be inclined to do anything but stonewall, that is, continue with the same pattern of obstruction that resulted in contempt of Congress charges against the defiant attorney general. That said, the prospect of seeing this play out will give further evidence to the public of just how little the administration values fair trials and rule of law when they perceive an advantage undermining both.

That won’t happen unless and until lawmakers responsible for oversight stop ignoring the unprecedented action of a federal judge (and a Clinton appointee at that) sidelining seven United States attorneys from a case due to fraud. Why they have remained silent so far, while troubling, is hardly unexpected to those of us involved in the early days of Fast and Furious, when the media, the Congress, and even some “pro-gun groups” had to be dragged kicking and screaming — and even harangued — into calling attention to another clear record of government-sponsored lawlessness.

FK – Why aren’t the ‘gun groups’ pushing hard to simply shut down the BATF Nazis and repeal ‘all’ the gun laws?

Yes we can, prepare for what will be required.

FK – Must be French humor. ‘Shoah’ is a ‘modern Hebrew’ word for holocaust.

Regardless of how many actually died or how it’s been used as a hammer by cultural Marxists, and most ‘Jews’ are cultural Marxists, just as many of them were in Germany, to control any and all who question them or their agendas.

In a free country there’s no such thing as a group whose motives can’t be questioned. If you participate in such you are a traitor to this country and the Bill of Rights. The First Amendment doesn’t mention any god’s chosen as being exempt. But they will make it that way if they can.
