Over 200 years ago our ancestors fought a bloody 8-year-war to throw off the concept of ‘god appointed kings.’ A minority of them, the anti-Federalists, insisted on a Bill of Rights, the document that makes us exceptional in all the world, before they would accept what they viewed as an extremely dangerous constitution.
