President Donald Trump has nominated Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, and the liberal Left is in full mourning right now.
Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut is symptomatic of the wailing and gnashing of teeth that is occurring today. Murphy tweeted this about Judge Kavanaugh:
“Brett Kavanaugh is a true Second Amendment radical. He believes assault weapon bans are unconstitutional, a position way out of the judicial mainstream, far to the right of even late Justice Scalia.”
Actually, Sen. Murphy is right about one thing. Early analysis (using a liberal-conservative scale) indicates that Kavanaugh is to the right of Scalia — and even to the right of Justice Neil Gorsuch.
There is no doubt that Kavanaugh is pro-gun and will be a HUGE improvement over Anthony Kennedy, whom he is replacing.
Kavanaugh, in his most important gun-related decision (Heller II) filed a dissent arguing that D.C.’s ban on semi-automatic firearms was arbitrary and unlawful.
In fact, his dissent was so well argued that GOA’s subsequent legal briefs have repeatedly held up his dissent as the model to follow.
In another case, Kavanaugh correctly interpreted the Firearm Owners Protection Act to find that a defendant could not be sentenced to 30 years in prison for use of a fully-automatic firearm if he was unaware that the gun fired automatically.
Kavanaugh also supported the prevailing opinion in the Citizens United case, which affirmed GOA’s voice in the political arena.
When all is said and done, Judge Brett Kavanaugh is a HUGE improvement over Kennedy.
Remember page 54 of the Heller decision — where there was dicta stating that certain gun control laws could be consistent with the Second Amendment?
Legal scholars have uncovered that this page was the price for “buying” Anthony Kennedy’s vote — and getting a 5-4 majority on Heller.
Now he’s gone. And his exit is not lamented by any of us.
Thankfully, it looks as though we have a real chance for the Court to revisit the Second Amendment — and actually hand down future decisions that will begin to dismantle the unconstitutional laws which are on the books.
No more anti-liberty laws. Repeal the ones we have now. Bring the troops home and have them hunt our real enemies, the garbage that’s seeking to disarm the civilian population.
We are all born with our most basic right, to fight back against and kill if necessary those who would enslave us or enslave us further.
Our Bill of Rights acknowledges this reality. Stop lying about it. Grow some balls and do what must be done.
Here’s what the Second Amendment actually means:
The right of the people to overthrow or prevent tyrannical or authoritarian government by force of individually owned arms, purchased or manufactured without government permission or taxes levied or paid, inferior to, equal to or superior to those commonly carried by soldiers, marines, sailors or militia members of any fighting force in the world shall not be brought into question. The right of the people to protect themselves from criminals in government, or any institution that may seek authority over them or from any common street criminal shall not be brought into question. Those elected, hired or appointed public servants who do question this proclamation and/or the people’s natural, most basic right, that all our other rights are based upon, that of self defense, shall be arrested, tried for treason and executed.
There’s no such thing as a good ‘gun law.’ All gun control is propaganda designed to condition the sheeple to accept more control with total civilian disarmament being the final objective thus all gun control is an act of war. All who forward it should be arrested, tried for treason against human Liberty and executed.
The Second Amendment, as the rest of the Bill of Rights, is an acknowledgment of our natural born rights, not a granting. The entire Bill of Rights is about keeping the governments in their place as our servants, not our masters. The Second Amendment is about the common person’s right to own weapons of war so that we can keep the governments in their place by keeping the ‘monopoly on force’ in the hands of the people where it belongs, as in ‘We the people.’ Remember that? It will not be infringed any further and the ‘gun laws’ in existence will be repealed. End of discussion.
Governments will always be able to get guns so we must always be better armed than them. Act politically but prep for what history shows will have to be done. It’s way past time to prep for what will be required.
The most important ‘private property’ anyone owns is their own life, health, safety, and no one, anywhere, anytime has the ‘right’ to take that from them or deny them their most basic right, that of self defense.
What’s an ‘illegal gun?’ Those two words are nowhere to be found in the Second Amendment.
Have you written your elected public servants and dealt with them in a realistic way, as in not playing the on-going games with our domestic blood enemies who’ve been telling the same lies for decades and arrogantly expecting us to pretend they’re not lying?
As in not regurgitating the same weak-kneed milquetoast ‘conservative’ talking points over and over again that any moron has heard 1000 times by now?
We’ve had the net for over 20 years. As I’ve noted numerous times before it’s easy to learn how evil the twin evils of socialism and gun control are. Any garbage still working to shove either or both down our throats at the point of a govt. gun should’ve already been hunted to extinction.
