FK – While I certainly agree with you in spirit, our situation if far more complicated than this. The force of government by whatever means has been with the tool-using monkeys for a very long time and voting, the act of violence that it is, is fairly new to the vast majority of the slave classes. This is something to celebrate not disown, regardless of how insane the process is.
If enough survive the coming micro nova and whatever else our planet/universe has in store for our species they will likely continue to evolve. If enough, that tiny minority in every generation, stand up and demand the continuation of human government based on the concept of natural rights and if necessary commit to the force necessary, maybe future generations have some hope.
In part this would mean authoritarians of whatever stripe would be met by the local militia with a rope in hand as soon as they’re sworn in, after campaigning with a resume that listed what they’ve done to enhance or damage human liberty.
But then I’m just dreaming like that Jefferson guy who claimed we’re all created equal, after millennia of being subjected to the rule of god-appointed kings.
