The same held true when the welfare state was created to guarantee future generations of democrat constituents.

200 years after the Anti-Federalists insisted on a Bill of Rights, the document that makes us exceptional, most voters still have a very incomplete understanding of their meaning and purpose. That’s really the most dangerous issue we face.
Socialist Europe is full of Europeans who’re allowing the fundies to invade their countries and breed them out of their own governments. They only have a generation or two left between once again choosing between the sword and Sharia Law.
In reality Europe was lost after WWII when they allowed a lessor form of socialism than fascism or Bolshevism or whatever to take over. It’s the same evil by a different name that always leads to the same rot.
But then all empires rot over time. There must’ve been some difference besides poverty that caused our ancestors to come here while others stayed behind to serve the old regimes.
Maybe this is all part of a natural process and we should just stand by and let the ditches be dug and the camps be built and the mosques or reform synagogues be erected and just take our medicine with no concern with what ideologies rule coming generations.

If it was about ‘helping the poor’ no one earning less than 100 grand a year would have to file or have the government’s money stolen from their paychecks before they even reach their hands. But in reality they don’t want the working poor to get ahead and have time to think about the situation they’re in.
Go get a job and get treated like shit, if you have the brains to realize that’s what’s happening. No wonder so many opt to ‘get a check.’
To stop the slide families need to learn to support the Bill of Rights, the document that makes us exceptional. If we lose all of those the two car garage and speed boat and big screen won’t be there either except as control devices, kinda like now.

Urge Your Representative to Oppose ALL Gun Control This Week
A couple of weeks ago, Democrats made a mockery of the House by sitting on the floor, whining, and, metaphorically, holding their breath until they turned blue.
In response, House Speaker Paul Ryan gave these petulant children exactly what they want: a vote to impose gun control.
The House is expected to vote this week on anti-gun legislation (H.R. 5611) that is similar to bills that were already voted on in the Senate — a proposal that would allow Attorney General Loretta Lynch to impose a gun ban against people who have committed no crimes, but nevertheless, are on a government watch list.
Of course, the Orlando shooter was not on a “no fly,” “selectee,” or even a consolidated watch list.
He was exonerated by the FBI. He passed background checks. He bought his guns legally in a gun store. Every single gun control law that had been put in place to stop terrorists like him failed.
But there is one thing that would have stopped him. If the Pulse night club had NOT been a gun-free zone, lives could have been saved — as evidenced by concealed carriers who successfully protected lives last year at a Youngstown, Ohio bar and, more recently, at a bar in South Carolina.

Sadly, Obama has been able to enlist help from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — and now, House Speaker Paul Ryan — to make the recent Orlando tragedy “about guns,” rather than about the growing terror threat within our borders.
Obviously, it’s not about guns, but making it so only energizes Hillary’s political purposes going into the election.
Make no mistake about it: none of the gun control proposals that will be voted on this week are constitutional.
And while they are all aimed at stopping GUN PURCHASES — thus restricting Second Amendment rights — none of them are aimed at stopping potential terrorists who buy a truckload of fertilizer (as in Oklahoma City) or box cutters (as on 9-11).

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is the sponsor of the gun control package that will be voted on this week (H.R. 5611). And, according to press reports, the NRA supports this legislation.
What this means is that most Republicans are going to support this gun control “lite” bill — even though most Democrats will oppose it because they don’t think it goes far enough.

Republicans who support this bill claim there is language that purports to give due process. But the “procedures” which supposedly grant “due process” in this Orwellian legislation are jokes.
We all know, from the Veterans Disarmament Act, that the government can use the full weight of its taxpayer-financed bureaucracy to take away people’s guns — as has happened to more than 250,000 veterans.
And so when the government goes after your gun rights — if you can’t come up with tens of thousands of dollars upfront that will be required to defend yourself and you have no taxpayer financed lawyers, unlike most criminal defendants — you’re going to lose your guns. Period.
