Molon Labe: Connecticut Gun Group Issues Ultimatum to Government

State officials look down the barrel of the laws that they created, and it is very probably that they now tremble as they rethink the extremity of their folly. Connecticut Carry calls on every State official, every Senator, and every Representative, to make the singular decision: Either enforce the laws as they are written and let us fight it out in court, or else repeal the 2013 Gun Ban in its entirety,” states the group’s press release.

FK – One wonders who’s gonna take the chance on going to prison…

No RadioShack, the ’80s didn’t call and Americans don’t want to go back to them

RadioShack’s problems are myriad. Like other brick-and-mortar electronics retailers, it has struggled in the face of aggressive competition from the online juggernaut that is Amazon. But it has also shot itself in the foot with outdated product choices and substandard customer service. The company’s stock price is currently in the doldrums, amid persistent rumors (paywall) it could formally file for bankruptcy.

FK – Let’s hope radio shack survives somehow. Amazon basically treats its workers like jackasses.

Putin has hit the “pause” button on his invasion of Ukraine

All in all, the impression is that Putin is—at least temporarily—taken aback, either by Western actions to isolate him, or by the market slide, or both. In one of his more bizarre outbursts, he lashed out at the US and the West for embracing what he called anti-Semites in Kiev who had shot an unarmed engineer dead and burned another alive. “I think they sit there across the pond in the US, sometimes it seems … they feel like they’re in a lab and they’re running all sorts of experiments on rats without understanding consequences of what they’re doing,” Putin said.

FK – Well at least they only consider us to be livestock…

Obama could cut Russian ammo imports as response to Ukraine crisis

Why Google Might Launch the World’s Largest Constellation

Although unconfirmed, sources indicate that this may result in “160 Skybox-sized” satellites launched at first, followed by hundreds more to total 1600 satellites. Yes, this would be more satellites than are currently operational. Yes, this is possibly apocryphal. No, we do not know if these satellites will be used for Earth observation or communications or both. But what we do know is that this story makes sense. On the next page are 10 reasons why NSG Analysts would not be surprised were GOOG to announce such plans.

FK – I don’t trust google any farther than I can throw a satellite.

FDA Wants to Monitor Social Media Chatter About Product Risks

The agency is looking for a contractor that can provide historical information about the sorts of conversations consumers are having on blogs, message boards and social media sites about the product classes FDA regulates — such as drugs, medical devices, food and tobacco — and then track when the sentiment or volume of those conversations shifts, according to the sources sought notice posted on Tuesday.

Anti-gunners accuse pro-gunners of using fake letters from police

The “options” provided to citizens in the letter all boil down to one thing. Dozens of classifications of guns are now illegal to possess unless they are rendered permanently useless by the owners, or stored in another state. A gun owner may also sell the firearm to a licensed gun dealer, or make arrangements to hand it over to law enforcement — which boils down to pure confiscation.

Law enforcement in Connecticut has deftly avoided saying what they will do if they discover a citizen(s) has refused to take any of the options listed above.

FK – The more desperate evil gets the more blatantly it lies.

The Most Underrated Survival Tip?

FK- “Lost” is when you wake up on the 2nd morning and still have no clue how to get to where you want to go. In most places east of the Mississippi the most important directions are ‘up’ and ‘down,’ at least regarding day hikes. Even in flat country like Indiana or Ohio you’ll hit a fence or a road unless you’re walking in a circle. Carry something to keep you warm and a way to stay hydrated according to season.

Team Obama wins fight to have Christian home-school family deported

The Romeikes were initially given asylum, but the Obama administration objected – claiming that German laws that outlaw homeschooling do not constitute persecution.

“The goal in Germany is for an open, pluralistic society,” the Justice Department wrote in a legal brief last year. “Teaching tolerance to children of all backgrounds helps to develop the ability to interact as a fully functioning citizen in Germany.”

FK – It’s always amazing to me when ‘christians’ fail to see the evil all around them. Well, not really. Most of them don’t even really understand their book and rarely pick up any other.

While I might not agree with whatever their version, sub-version or subversion says I do agree with their right to raise and educate their children as they see fit as long as they’re providing the ‘basics’ that even the government schools aren’t providing to the sheeplets that are now forced through the system, now in Kentucky until age 18, so the schools can get funding for them showing up until they’re handed a ‘diploma’ with no guarantee that they can read and write.

Of course many in this society can read their electric bill but that doesn’t equal ‘literacy’ or make them capable of abstract thought.
